I've always been the curious type.  I guess it started when I was five and my favorite question to ask was always, WHY _(fill in the blank, can't I have cake/a kitten/play in the mud)_??

I pursued that instinct in college where I studied to become a professional question asker, also known as a journalist.  Four years later, I've come to realized that my five year old tendencies were genius because 'Why?' is always the best follow up question.

This blog is my way of discovering beautiful places, meeting wonderful people, finding hidden gems and then telling you all about it.  I'll ask the questions and do the digging and you just come along for the ride.

I grew up in the suburbs of Chicago, studied broadcast journalism at the University of Missouri, studied in London for a few months, interned in Palm Springs, traveled across Europe and Africa and now I'm back where I started, in Chicago waiting to start my next adventure.  To say I have a bad case of wanderlust is an understatement.

I like: being the first on the dance floor, black coffee, pink lips, having my passport stamped, singing when no one can hear me, making lists, wine flights and cheese boards, anything Beyonce, rescuing animals, re-reading the Harry Potter series and the perfect pair of pumps

I dislike: buyers remorse, hard boiled eggs, egos, running, negativity, waiting in long lines, being cold in the frozen foods isle, ignorance and spicy foods (unfortunately)

I haven't been everywhere yet, but it's on my list.
